I know Peak Design sells much higher quantities therefore has lower manufacturing costs, so it can never be an apples-to-apples comparison, but still.Īlso CPL24 being above $250 is a bit puzzling in my eyes, even though I know it's their flagship product.

I have the PD Tech Pouch which retails for $60 and I don't see how CAP2 (which I would like to get) should be any higher, it's a terrific design, but ultimately in the same size and target market.ĬAP1 seems like a much simpler design and yet has the same $75 price tag.

I should've phrased it a little more diplomatically regarding Evergoods. Whereas clean, minimal, thoughtful design that makes what i do daily all the more easier without its own extraneous noise is always worth the cost.Įg bags for me, have just enough clear simple effective pocketing tough but not abrasive materials where i dont have to be cautious of my own bag and a load lifter like fit without the need to constantly cinch and get just right.Īs for really overpriced, i’d look moreso in the direction of a certain quasi military bag company.Īgreed on the certain company and their astronomical prices lol. But usually that translates into a mess of a bag that frankly, becomes a chore to use and adds low level annoyances that only add up to an even more annoying bag to own. Yes, there are cheaper, more feature laden bags, that seem like they offer value. Seems like they attack the problem from two very different areas: evergoods from the top using the upper yoke vs AC supporting things from the bottom with its a frame design. Most bags that lack that and sag everything down, pulling it all off my body.īut admittedly the back panel is more comfortable and breathable for hotter weather. Its carry feels locked in enough over most other bags, which im assuming is due to their a frame design, which kind of acts like a table where your contents rest ontop. Seems better apt at supporting heavier loads. I just feel so connected due to the extra support and attachment of the upper yoke. most bags when packed heavy feel like the top portion drifts away from my traps and upper back.īut evergoods bags never feel that way but are locked in. I guess my body type is in that sweet spot.įyi, my biggest pet peeve with most bags is the upper back fit. In fact this either love-it or hate-it nature of EG harness is probably what has kept me from getting one, so I am curious to know your take on it compared to AC harness given the design differences.

I find it interesting that you consider them on par, since I think pretty much all EG bags have the straps pretty far from each other, whereas AC is kind of the opposite even though they are also worn high up on the back (at least that is how I wear them, since I am fairly short and hate it when I can feel the bag digging into my lower back). I loved my Max so much that decided to pre-order the Daily Plus, and I am the kind of person that hates buying anything (not just bags) without checking multiple reviews first and usually I even wait a bit afterwards to see if there are any manufacturing issues.Īs for Evergoods, they have been tempting for a while (especially the PLC 20 before I got the Daily Plus), even though in my opinion their products are overpriced across the board by a good 15-20%.
